Successful Conclusion of 3-Day TB Awareness Campaign in Buxar

The Buxar Medical City Foundation successfully completed its three-day Tuberculosis (TB) Awareness Campaign from 5 to 7 September 2025. The campaign aimed to spread awareness about TB symptoms, prevention, timely testing, and the availability of free treatment under government health services.

Day 1: Awareness Drive at Station Road

The campaign began on 5 September at Station Road, Buxar. Volunteers distributed pamphlets, posters, and awareness materials while engaging directly with citizens. The focus was on recognizing TB symptoms early and encouraging people to seek medical help without delay.

Day 2: Human Chain at P.P. Road

On 6 September, hundreds of citizens, students, social workers, and representatives of voluntary organizations participated in a Human Chain at P.P. Road, Buxar. Carrying placards and banners, participants pledged to build a “TB-Free Buxar”. The strong turnout highlighted the power of community-driven health initiatives.

Day 3: On-the-Spot Drawing Competition

The final day, 7 September, witnessed a vibrant On-the-Spot Drawing Competition at Vedshira Ashram, behind Kawaldah Pokhra. The theme was “Healthy and TB-Free Society.” Students expressed their creativity through art, spreading powerful messages of prevention and care.

  • 🥉 Akanksha Shri – Heritage School, Buxar

All winners were felicitated and their contributions were applauded.

Key Message from the Foundation

Speaking at the event, Director Ram Narayan said:

“TB is a disease that can be completely controlled with timely testing and free treatment. Our mission is to remove misconceptions and spread correct information. Together, we can turn the dream of a ‘TB-Free Buxar’ into reality.”

The campaign’s success was made possible with the active involvement of local schools, social organizations, women’s groups, and youth volunteers including Mukesh Kumar Kharwar, Ramashankar Singh, Satish Manmeet, Indrajit Chaubey, Pankaj Manasinghka, Rahul Jaiswal, Adarsh Azad, Sagar Kumar, Sneha Chaurasia, Shreya Kumari, Ramesh Pandey, and Satyaprakash Rai.
