Buxar, September 6, 2025 – The second day of the three-day Tuberculosis (TB) Awareness Campaign by Buxar Medical City Foundation witnessed a remarkable show of unity and determination at P.P. Road, Buxar.
Hundreds Join Hands for Awareness
In a powerful demonstration, citizens, students, social workers, and representatives of voluntary organizations formed a Human Chain pledging for a “TB-Free Buxar.” The air was filled with hope and determination as participants held placards carrying strong awareness messages and stood shoulder to shoulder in solidarity.
Message from the Foundation
Addressing the gathering, Foundation Director Mr. Ram Narayan highlighted the importance of early diagnosis and treatment.
“TB is a disease that can be completely controlled through timely testing and free treatment. We need to dispel myths, spread correct information, and encourage people to seek medical help without hesitation. Together, Buxar can take a big step towards becoming TB-free.”
Spreading Information
Foundation volunteers were on the ground distributing pamphlets, posters, and other informative material. The focus was on educating people about:
- Early symptoms of TB
- The need for timely testing
- Free treatment services available in government health facilities
Community Partnerships
The success of this human chain was made possible through the support of Ujjwal Mahila Vikas Kendra, Buxar, and the American English Institute, along with the tireless efforts of local youth. Notable contributors included Ramashankar Singh, Mukesh Kumar Kharwar, Indrajeet Chaubey, Shubham Gupta, Rahul Jaiswal, and many others who stepped forward with enthusiasm.
What’s Next?
As part of this three-day campaign, the concluding event will be an On-the-Spot Drawing Competition on September 7, 2025, at Kawaldah Pokhra, Buxar. Students will creatively express the theme of TB Awareness through art, making health messages more relatable and impactful.
