Spreading the Message of Drug-Free Living Through Art

De-addiction Rangoli Competition Held at Kila Maidan, Buxar

Under the ongoing “Drug De-addiction Campaign” of Buxar Medical City Foundation, a Drug De-addiction Rangoli Competition was successfully organized today at Kila Maidan, Buxar. The primary objective of the programme was to create awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse through art and creativity, and to actively involve youth and women in building a drug-free society.

During the event, participants beautifully expressed the physical, mental, and social consequences of drug addiction through their rangoli artworks. Using colors, symbols, and creative themes, the participants conveyed strong messages highlighting how substance abuse affects not only individuals but also families and society as a whole.

Representatives of Buxar Medical City Foundation, while addressing the gathering, emphasized that drug addiction is a serious social issue and that awareness, prevention, and community participation are essential to combat it. They stated that such creative, participatory initiatives play a vital role in promoting positive thinking and encouraging people to adopt a drug-free lifestyle.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of local residents, youths, women, and volunteers. The winners of the Rangoli Competition were announced as follows:

  • First Prize: Roshni Kumari
  • Second Prize: Richa Kumari
  • Third Prize: Palak Kumari

All participants were awarded consolation prizes and certificates in appreciation of their efforts. On this occasion, the attendees also took a collective pledge to lead a drug-free life and to spread awareness within their communities.

The Foundation further informed that, under the Drug De-addiction Campaign, several upcoming activities will be organized, including Green Ribbon Distribution, Quiz Competitions, Pledge Boards, and Poster Awareness Campaigns, to further strengthen public participation and awareness.

The programme was successfully conducted with the dedicated efforts and valuable support of Foundation Director Mr. Ram Narayan, along with Rahul Jaiswal, Indrajeet Chaubey, Shubham Kumar, Khushi Keshari, Vinod Kumar, Sneha Kumari Chourasiya, Anil Kumar, and Shreya Kumari.
