An Integrated Health Check-up Camp was successfully organized at the Buxar Railway Station premises on March 6, 2026. The camp was conducted under the directions of the Health Department, Government of Bihar, under the banner of NACO (National AIDS Control Organisation) in collaboration with Buxar Medical City Foundation, Buxar. The primary objective of the programme was to spread awareness about health and preventive care among the general public and to provide free medical screening and medicines to those in need.

The camp was organized at the railway station to reach a wider section of society, including passengers, local residents, vendors, daily wage workers, and people from nearby areas. A large number of individuals participated in the camp and availed themselves of the free medical services provided.

During the camp, free screening tests for HIV, Hepatitis-B, Blood Pressure (BP), and Blood Sugar were conducted. Trained healthcare workers carried out the initial screening, after which doctors from Sadar PHC/Sadar Hospital, Buxar examined the patients and provided medical consultation based on the test results.

Individuals who required medical attention were given free medicines and appropriate medical advice. In addition to the health check-ups, participants were also educated about prevention of infectious diseases, the importance of early detection, regular health screening, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Through this camp, more than 185 people received free health screening and medicines. Organizing the camp at a busy public place like the railway station helped ensure that not only local residents but also travelers and workers benefited from the initiative.

The successful conduct of the programme was made possible with the active support of S.K. Das and Prakash Kumar from Sadar Hospital, Buxar. From Buxar Medical City Foundation, Ram Narayan and Vishnu Jaiswal played an important role in coordination and organizing the camp. ASHA workers also contributed significantly by mobilizing people and encouraging them to undergo health screening.

The organizers stated that such health camps are aimed at bringing essential healthcare services closer to the community and ensuring early detection and prevention of serious diseases. They also emphasized that similar public health initiatives will continue to be organized in different locations across the district in the future.

The camp proved to be an important step toward improving public health awareness and promoting preventive healthcare among the community.
